COMMANDING THE DAY
12 Have you commanded the morning since your days began, And caused the dawn to know its place, 13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it? - Job 38:12-13 (NKJV)
Each new day is a gift from God, filled with opportunities and blessings. As believers, we have the authority to command our day, aligning it with God's will and purpose. This isn't about controlling every aspect of our lives but about inviting God's presence and guidance into every moment.
1. Start with Gratitude
Begin your day by thanking God for His goodness and mercy. A heart of gratitude sets a positive tone for the day and opens the door for God's blessings.
Also take a moment to reflect on what God has done in your life, and ask God to help you be a blessing to others.
2. Speak Life
Use your words to declare God's promises over your life. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that "death and life are in the power of the tongue." Speak words of life, hope, and encouragement into your day.
3. Seek God's Guidance
Invite the Holy Spirit to lead you throughout the day. Ask for wisdom in your decisions, strength in your challenges, and love in your interactions.
4. Trust in God's Plan
Remember that God is in control. Even when things don't go as planned, trust that He is working everything for your good. (Romans 8:28)
Morning Declaration:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for this new day. I declare that today is blessed, and I will walk in Your favor. I command every part of my day to align with Your plans for me. Let Your peace, joy, and love fill my heart and overflow into the lives of those around me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Today's Prayer
Lord, I commit this day into Your hands. Guide my steps and help me to walk in Your ways. Let Your light shine through me, and may I be a blessing to others. Thank You for Your faithfulness and love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
