Support Aid Kimberly's Fight for Health
To our family, friends, and community,
We are Kelly Murrieta and Leeann Dearing; sister and sister-in-law to our dearly loved Kimberly.
On August 7th, at age 39, Kimberly suffered a terrifying stroke. On August 8th, she began 9 days of testing at Chandler Regional Hospital. Her immediate side effects included left-side paralysis and sensory loss. However, the worst news had not yet been uncovered.
The cause of her stroke, identified as a leaky valve in her heart, immediately revealed the gravity of her situation. As doctors continued to evaluate her condition, they found an infection in her heart valve. They diagnosed her with Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome, which is a blood clotting disorder.
Her course of treatment is excruciating; six weeks with a PICC line running through her body all day. Just two days after being sent home, she showed a severe reaction to the medication necessary for her condition and is now back at Chandler Regional Hospital. She faces more unknowns in the days ahead.
Friends, our hearts are shattered to see Kimberly suffering. If you’ve had the gift of meeting her, even for a short time, you know her to be radiant, joyful, selfless, and kind. Kim is everyone’s cheerleader. We are asking you to consider partnering with us to help ease her burden.
How Can I Help?
First, pray. We believe that we serve a powerful God who hears our prayers, loves us deeply, and abides with us in our suffering. Pray for Kim’s spirit to be encouraged by the truth of God’s power and presence in her life. Pray for provision in their finances. And if you are able, partner with us through donations in being part of the answer to that prayer.
How will Funds Be Used?
Kimberly is the primary earner and caretaker for her loving husband, Nick, who is blind. Having just started a new job; Kim does not yet qualify for short-term disability. All donations will go directly toward Kim’s medical bills and recovery-related expenses during this critical time.
With Love and Appreciation,
Kelly Murrieta and Leeanne Dearing
